Space Invaders is Taito's 1978 fixed shooter arcade game, the first fixed shooter and the template for the genre. ncInvaders is a simplified version of Space Invaders made with the nCine engine, serving as a slightly more complex example than the engine's ncPong demo. It builds for Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and the web.
How it differs from the original
It is a simplified take on the original's game logic.
Getting started
The ship is controlled with the mouse or keyboard on PC, by tapping the screen on Android, or with a joystick on both.
