About

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is Rockstar North's 2002 action-adventure game, set in 1986 in the fictional Vice City, following gangster Tommy Vercetti. OpenVice is an early C# engine port of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City using OpenTK for graphics, input and audio, BEPU Physics and MP3Sharp. It can parse the game's native RenderWare formats, play the original sound effects and decode Vice City's ADF radio format, but it is not playable and development has halted.

How it differs from the original

Its renderer is modular, so the OpenGL renderer project can be replaced with a custom one.

Getting started

It requires an original copy of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City; you build the solution yourself from source.

Requires original assets. Requires original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City game distributive.
