Pokémon Gold and Silver are 1999 Game Boy Color role-playing games by Game Freak, the second-generation Pokémon titles; unfinished prototype versions were shown publicly at the Space World 1997 trade show. This is a disassembly of the Pokémon Gold and Silver prototype builds shown at Space World 1997, reconstructing source code that rebuilds both debug and non-debug ROM variants of the demo.
How it differs from the original
As an early prototype rather than the finished 1999 release, it represents an unfinished, pre-release build of Gold and Silver rather than the final retail game.
