About
Raptor: Call of the Shadows is a 1994 MS-DOS vertically scrolling shooter developed by Cygnus Studios and published by Apogee Software, released in episodes with the first, "Bravo Sector," distributed as shareware. Raptor (JS) is a JavaScript remake of the first level of Raptor: Call of the Shadows' Bravo Sector episode, built by developer "Tycoon" as a 96-kilobyte entry for a demoscene competition.
How it differs from the original
It covers only the first level of the original's Bravo Sector episode rather than the full game, and requires Internet Explorer 6 to run.
Getting started
Play in a browser (Internet Explorer 6 is required) using the arrow keys to move, space to fire, and Enter to change weapons.
History
The project was built as an entry in the "96k Game" competition at the Breakpoint 2004 demoscene event.
Known limitations
