Sonic '06 is a 2006 Sonic the Hedgehog platform game by Sonic Team, intended as a reboot of the franchise for seventh-generation consoles, following Sonic, Shadow, and Silver's fight against the ancient evil Solaris. re-Sonic06Demo is a recompilation of the Sonic '06 tech demo using the ReXGlue SDK, playable from start to finish on Windows. It currently only supports gamepad input (keyboard support is being considered) and may experience slowdowns, especially during video playback.
Getting started
Download the sonic06demo.exe file from the releases page and extract the original Sonic '06 Demo package files into the assets folder. NVIDIA GPU users should set the Max Framerate to 1000 in the NVIDIA Control Panel, or the game will run very slowly.
Known limitations
- performance: May experience slowdowns while playing, especially when videos are playing; only gamepad input supported currently.
