About

Flashback is a 1992 cinematic platformer developed by Delphine Software and published by U.S. Gold, first released for the Amiga before being ported to numerous other systems and later remastered. REminiscence is a re-implementation of the game engine used in Flashback (1992) by Delphine Software. It supports the DOS (floppy/CD), Amiga, Macintosh, and PC98 releases of the game, with optional use of Amiga or SegaCD files for alternate music and in-game speech, and offers configurable widescreen display modes and graphics scalers.

How it differs from the original

Adds options the original lacked, including several selectable widescreen display modes (adjacent, mirror, blur, or CD-i-style bitmaps) and a rewindable savestate buffer for autosaves.

Getting started

Requires the original Flashback game data files (DOS, Amiga, Macintosh, or PC98 release) placed in a DATA directory; run the rs executable with command-line options like --datapath, --fullscreen, --language, or --scaler to configure it, and use the arrow keys plus Shift/Enter to play.

Requires original assets. Requires original game data files from DOS, Amiga, Macintosh, or PC98 release of Flashback.
