About

Hovertank 3D is a 1991 MS-DOS vehicular combat game by id Software, notable as the first game to use a first-person perspective and as a prototype for the engine later used in Wolfenstein 3D. Robot Redemption is an MS-DOS game built on the Hovertank 3D engine, in which the player rescues robots from Jupiter's moons.

How it differs from the original

Unlike Hovertank 3D's vehicular combat premise, this game centers on rescuing robots from Jupiter's moons.
