About
Frogger is a 1981 arcade action game developed by Konami and published by Sega, in which the player guides frogs across a busy road and then a river by jumping on floating logs, turtles, and alligators. Saving Sue is a Frogger-style road-crossing game in which the player helps a distracted character named Sue cross the street, created by developer garu for the SDL Game Contest.
How it differs from the original
Instead of a frog, the player character is a person (Sue), and the game uses a mix of the developer's own art and Creative Commons-licensed assets rather than the original arcade's sprites and effects.
History
The game was made as an entry for the SDL Game Contest, and doubled as a birthday gift for a friend named Sue, who the game and its main character are named after.
