Shining Force is a 1992 Sega Genesis tactical role-playing game by Climax Entertainment and Sonic! Software Planning, the second entry in the Shining series, primarily fantasy-themed with some science-fiction elements. SF1RE is a collaborative reverse-engineering project that uses IDA Pro to analyze the original Shining Force ROM. It shares its work as IDC scripts that recreate the IDA database from scratch, and its output feeds directly into the companion SF1DISASM project's buildable disassembly.
Getting started
Requires opening the original "Shining Force (USA)" ROM in IDA Pro and then running the project's IDC scripts in sequence to build up and export the disassembly; this is a reverse-engineering toolkit rather than a directly playable release on its own.
