The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Based on Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past

About
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a 1991 action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the third game in the Zelda series. This is a fan remake of A Link to the Past built with the Solarus engine, reusing the SNES version's original character, enemy, and landscape graphics so it closely resembles the original despite differences introduced by the modern engine and PC platform. It's still in active development and released as incremental demo versions (up to v0.5.x), playable with a keyboard or a controller.
How it differs from the original
As of the latest demo (v0.5.x), the remake covers the full overworld and three dungeons (Eastern Palace, Desert Palace, Tower of Hera) plus the last Light World dungeon, but is still missing the in-game Map and Compass items that the original SNES game had.
Getting started
Demo builds are downloadable from the developer's itch.io page and support both keyboard and controller input.
History
Development has proceeded incrementally from v0.1.x through v0.5.x, with each version adding new maps, dungeons, and enemies, credited to a small team of contributors beyond the lead developer.
