About
Worms is a series of artillery tactical games developed by British studio Team17, in which small teams of anthropomorphic worms battle across a destructible landscape, known for cartoony animation and surreal, slapstick humor. WarMUX is a free, open-source clone of the Worms series of artillery games. It's a dead project — its original website went offline and its code was nowhere to be found online, so this repository preserves a copy of it. It supports Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, and BeOS, with online multiplayer.
How it differs from the original
As an independent open-source clone, WarMUX uses its own original artwork and assets rather than any of Team17's original Worms game data.
History
The original WarMUX project went offline, its website down and its source code unavailable anywhere online, prompting the current maintainer to preserve a copy of the code in this repository.
