About

ZZT is a 1991 DOS action-adventure puzzle game and creation system from Potomac Computer Systems, later released as freeware in 1997, notable for its built-in ZZT-OOP scripting editor that let players build their own worlds. zztgo is a Go port of Adrian Siekierka's C reconstruction of ZZT's source code, created using a custom Pascal-to-Go converter the author wrote, with the tcell library handling terminal graphics. The author describes it as not exactly finished.

Getting started

Install Go, clone the repository, and build it with Go's standard build command to produce the executable. For a more authentic look, install an IBM EGA font and set the terminal's line spacing to zero.

Known limitations

  • development: Port is not exactly finished.
