About
Anodyne is a game made by Analgesic Productions. AnodyneSharp is a fan-made rewrite of Anodyne in C# using the MonoGame framework, built directly from the original's released source code. It aims to stay faithful to the original while adding a more modular, moddable codebase and several UX improvements, and it renders at 60 FPS via OpenGL with shader-based effects. It runs on Windows, Linux and macOS.
How it differs from the original
It adds several things not in the original release: a visible currently-selected-broom indicator with quicker shortcut-key switching between brooms, minimap markers for unopened chests and floor numbers in multi-floor dungeons, a fix so returning to a dungeon's entrance always sends you back to the screen you entered from, and various bugfixes for softlocks and other glitches.
Getting started
It runs on Windows, Linux or macOS and supports game controllers, though a Nintendo Switch Pro controller needs Steam running in the background to work correctly. Players are expected to already own the original Anodyne, per the shared license terms.

- Trivia
- The original game's "wiggle glitch" exploit was intentionally left in rather than fixed.
