About
Bomberman is a video game franchise created by Yuji Tanaka, Toshiyuki Sasagawa, and Shinichi Nakamoto while at Hudson Soft, now owned by Konami following its 2011 acquisition of Hudson Soft. Blockbomber is a multiplayer-only, Bomberman-style last-player-standing game built for the Minetest engine, played by hosting or joining a local or online server; custom arenas can be built with a companion Blockbomber Editor and distributed as separate mods.
How it differs from the original
It extends the classic bomb-placing formula with a larger set of power-ups (stacking Bomb/TNT/Shoes, permanent Spring and Fist abilities, temporary effects like Compass and Heart, and negative power-ups such as Confused Frog and Snail) plus varied floor and wall blocks (Ice, Arrow, Mortar, Crate, Brick, and indestructible Wall tiles).
Getting started
Move with the arrow keys, place a bomb with sneak, throw a bomb you're standing in with jump once you have the Spring power-up, and punch nearby bombs with a left click once you have Fist.
