Cloned Games

Blood: 6 Open Source Clones Compared

NBlood is an actively maintained, Blood-specific port built on EDuke32 technology that needs the original Blood 1.21 data files to run. Raze bundles several reverse-engineered Build-engine games into one package, and by its own README its Blood support is based directly on NBlood's code rather than being an independent reimplementation, though Raze's own development has slowed to sporadic. XL Engine is a separate, halted, multi-game engine (also covering Dagger, Dark, and Outlaws) that only reaches semi-playable status for Blood, while Chocolate Blood is marked unplayable with no supported platforms listed.
