Story of Seasons series: 2 Open Source Clones Compared

Harvest Moon 2.0 sticks closer to a traditional farming-sim structure — planting, watering, and selling crops in town — built in Godot, though the interiors of its caves, inn, and shop aren't accessible yet. Honey Town instead reframes the same genre around beekeeping and environmental themes, is built in C# with MonoGame, and currently supports only cows for its livestock system alongside a missing title screen and an unfinished mountain map. Both projects are halted and only semi-playable, but Honey Town additionally lists Xbox One among its target platforms, which Harvest Moon 2.0 does not.
