SimUnity2's own README states it has been succeeded by OpenTS2, and its development has since stopped entirely; OpenTS2 remains the actively developed successor. Both are still far from playable: OpenTS2 has only a basic main menu and neighborhood chooser implemented, while SimUnity2 was already missing lot view, SimAntics, and skeleton import before development stopped, and its music code was described as needing significant work.
