Thimbleweed Park: 2 Open Source Clones Compared

engge is a discontinued C++/SDL2 reimplementation of the Thimbleweed Park engine that its own author describes as playable and completable, before development stopped in favor of a rewritten successor, engge2. engge2 was rewritten from scratch in Nim, adds support for the official 'Ransome Unbeeped' DLC and an Italian voice pack as extra data archives, and lets players build custom data archives to override original assets — though it remains in active development with known issues of its own, and both projects still require the player to supply Thimbleweed Park's original data files.
