Cloned Games

Unreal Tournament: 3 Open Source Clones Compared

SurrealEngine is attempting a direct reimplementation of Unreal Engine 1 to run the actual Unreal Tournament (99) using its original game data, but its status here is unplayable. Alien Arena is a separate, complete game that borrows some of the same movement conventions (strafejumping, dodging) but uses its own original setting, weapons, and assets rather than reproducing Unreal Tournament directly, and it ships ready to play with 23 levels included.
