About
Gauntlet of Thyrion is a fork of the UHexen2 SDL2 fork (Hammer of Thyrion) that focuses exclusively on being a singleplayer macOS port of Hexen II, built via an included Xcode project with all dependencies bundled.
How it differs from the original
This port deliberately focuses only on the singleplayer game, leaving out Hexenworld and other multiplayer/server functionality that the underlying engine supports elsewhere.
Getting started
You'll need to separately obtain the Hexen II game data, then copy the data1, help, music, and splash folders into ~/Library/Application Support/Hexen2 before running the built app bundle (OpenGL or software renderer).
