About
Heroes of Jin Yong is a series of wuxia role-playing games, first published in 1996, based on the novels of Jin Yong. jy-remake is a community remake of the original Heroes of Jin Yong, built on code originally written by a contributor known as "the swimming fish" (游泳的鱼) and extended by several other named community members over time.
Getting started
Building requires MinGW (or TDM-GCC) and Python, using the command `python waf configure build install`. Running the built game additionally requires separate data files, distributed by the author via a personal cloud-storage link, extracted into the same release directory as the built program.
History
The remake builds on earlier work by a community member known as "the swimming fish," with contributions from several other named community members, developed within a fan forum ("铁血丹心", later relaunched as "大武侠") dedicated to Heroes of Jin Yong.
