About

Lemmings is a 1991 puzzle and strategy game developed by DMA Design for the Amiga and published by Psygnosis, programmed by Russell Kay, Mike Dailly, and David Jones. It was inspired by a simple animation Dailly created while experimenting with Deluxe Paint. This C++/Allegro 4 version of Lix — an action-puzzle game inspired by Lemmings, with a level editor, networked multiplayer, and single-player — is discontinued in favor of a full rewrite.

Getting started

This version is discontinued; players are directed instead to the separate LixD project, a full rewrite in D using Allegro 5.

History

It was succeeded by LixD, a complete rewrite in the D programming language using Allegro 5 instead of Allegro 4.
