Magic: The Gathering Online is Wizards of the Coast's official online implementation of the Magic: The Gathering card game, running as an internet service for Windows since 2002, used for playing and trading cards. Magarena is a single-player fantasy card game that runs on Java 8 or later, playable on Windows, Linux, and macOS. Its own README is mostly a credits list rather than a feature description, crediting dozens of contributors for card scripting, UI translations (Portuguese, Russian, Italian, French), and premade decks.

Getting started

Requires Java 8 or newer to run; per the project's credits, card data and card images are sourced from mtgjson.com and magiccards.info respectively.

History

The game was originally created by a contributor credited as "ubeefx"; hundreds of additional cards and features (including over 300 creature cards from one contributor's scripts) were added over time by a large community of contributors.
