About

Meridian 59 is a 1996 game developed by Archetype Interactive and published by The 3DO Company, the first 3D graphical massively multiplayer online role-playing game. This repository holds the source code for update 2.9 (specifically 2.9.3) of Server 105, a volunteer-run version of Meridian 59 forked from the OpenMeridian codebase. It includes the client, server, game code, Blakod compiler, room editor and tools, while some rooms, graphics and audio must come from a Server 105 client.

Getting started

You can play on the live Server 105 by creating an account and downloading the client from its website. To run locally, build with Visual Studio, start the server, create an admin account from its Administration tab, and point the client at it with command-line flags; client graphics come from an installed Server 105 client.

History

The maintainers note that a more up-to-date version with full git history was planned for release alongside the 3.0 expansion, since the history contains expansion content.
