About

Meridian 59 is a 1996 online role-playing game developed by Archetype Interactive and published by The 3DO Company, the first 3D graphical MMORPG. Open Meridian is the Open Meridian Project's fork of the Meridian 59 source code released by Andrew and Chris Kirmse in 2012. It includes the client, server, game code, Blakod compiler, room editor, and related tools, but not the compression and audio libraries or the game content such as artwork, rooms, and audio.

Getting started

Create an account on the Open Meridian Project homepage and download the client through its patcher, which also connects to German and South Korean servers. To build locally you need Visual Studio 2013 or newer, plus client graphics from the 103 or 112 client installed via the patcher.
