About
Fatal Frame is Tecmo's 2001 PlayStation 2 survival horror game, in which Miku Hinasaki explores the haunted Himuro Mansion and fights ghosts with a mystical camera. MikuPan is an in-progress port of the PS2 Fatal Frame that runs natively on PC without emulation, and the developers describe it as still very early work. It builds for Windows and Linux, can produce an Android APK, and has been built and run on Apple Silicon macOS by contributors.
How it differs from the original
The port supports both the NTSC-U and PAL/EU game data through separate build presets, while Japanese NTSC-J discs are not supported. macOS is not officially supported because the maintainers have no Apple hardware to test on.
Getting started
You need your own copy of the game: copy the two game data files from a matching US or European Fatal Frame ISO next to the MikuPan executable. The developers recommend a debug build for now because of issues with release builds; on Android, the data files go in the app's data folder or a folder chosen with the in-game picker.
Known limitations
- platform: macOS is not officially supported; the maintainers have no Apple hardware to actively test on.
