About
Minecraft is a sandbox video game developed and published by Mojang Studios, first released as an early-access alpha in 2009 and formally in November 2011, since ported to numerous platforms. Purpur is a Minecraft server implementation and drop-in replacement for Paper servers, built on top of Paper (which is itself built on Spigot/Bukkit), aimed at configurability, added gameplay features, and performance.
How it differs from the original
Adds extra configuration options and gameplay features on top of standard Paper/vanilla Minecraft server behavior; as server software it bundles no original game assets of its own.
Getting started
Prebuilt server jars can be grabbed from the project's downloads page or its downloads API and then run like any other Paper/Spigot-compatible Minecraft server.

- Purpur's own patches are released under the MIT license, though it also incorporates code from PaperMC/Paper under Paper's separate license terms.
