About
μQuake is a personal fork of the Quake engine focused on building cleanly with modern compilers (GCC 7.4+, Clang 8+), improving portability, and reducing memory usage, with a stated future goal of running on the original PlayStation (which has only 2MB of RAM). It also includes a work-in-progress port to 3dfx Voodoo hardware using native Glide3, tested only on modern Linux so far. The project is currently marked unplayable and development has stalled.
Known limitations
- platform: 3dfx Voodoo/Glide3 port is currently only tested on modern Linux.
