About
River Raid is a 1982 scrolling shooter for the Atari 2600, developed by Carol Shaw and published by Activision, in which the player flies a fighter jet along a river destroying enemy tankers, helicopters, fuel depots, and bridges while managing fuel. This is a River Raid clone implemented in VHDL, a hardware description language typically used to define digital circuits such as FPGAs; the repository provides minimal documentation beyond a screencast of it running.
