Super Mario World is a 1990 Nintendo platform game for the SNES in which Mario travels through a series of levels to save Princess Peach and Dinosaur Land from Bowser, introducing the rideable dinosaur Yoshi. Secret Maryo Chronicles (SMC) is an open-source 2D platform game with a design similar to classic computer games, using accelerated OpenGL graphics, a wealth of levels, powerups, and music, plus an in-game level editor. The project is no longer under active development.
History
SMC is no longer under active development; a successor project, The Secret Chronicles of Dr. M. (TSC), continues on from it with its own separate goals.
