Super Mario World is a 1990 Nintendo platform game for the SNES in which Mario travels through a series of levels to save Princess Peach and Dinosaur Land from Bowser, introducing the rideable dinosaur Yoshi. The Secret Chronicles of Dr. M. is an open-source 2D side-scrolling platform game with its own graphics, music, and an advanced level editor that supports in-game scripting. It is a fork of the now-inactive Secret Maryo Chronicles project, pursuing its own goals and design principles rather than simply continuing it, and runs on Windows, Linux, and Raspberry Pi.

Getting started

Precompiled Windows releases are published on the project's website; players on other platforms need to compile it themselves following the build guide included in the repository.

History

The project is a fork of Secret Maryo Chronicles (SMC), which is no longer actively developed; rather than being a mere continuation, TSC has pursued its own separate design goals since forking.
