Doom is id Software's 1993 first-person shooter for MS-DOS, the first game in the Doom franchise and an early landmark for 3D-style first-person games. SLADE3 is an all-in-one editor for Doom-engine-based games and their various source ports, combining the earlier SLumpEd and SLADE map-editor tools. It can view, modify, and convert many game-specific resource and image formats (including Doom WAD/PK3, Quake PAK/WAD2, and Build GRP/ART), and includes an advanced text editor with syntax highlighting plus a dedicated Doom composite-texture editor. It runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS.
