About

Quake is id Software's 1996 first-person shooter, in which a lone soldier travels through teleportation 'slipgates' to stop a demonic invasion, blending military science fiction with gothic, Lovecraft-inspired horror. three-quake is a browser-based port of Quake built with the Three.js WebGL library, playable directly at its GitHub Pages site. It ships with the shareware Episode 1 data; the full game requires supplying your own equivalent data file from a registered copy of Quake. The port's code is licensed under GPL v2.

How it differs from the original

Unlike the original DOS/Windows release, this is a browser-playable Three.js reimplementation with only the shareware first episode bundled by default.

Getting started

Play directly in a browser at the project's GitHub Pages site using the bundled shareware data for Episode 1, or replace the included data file with your own copy from a registered version of Quake to play the full game.

Requires original assets. Requires original pak0.pak file from a registered copy of Quake for the full game; shareware Episode 1 is included.
