Hexen: Beyond Heretic is a 1995 first-person shooter by Raven Software, published by id Software, the sequel to Heretic and second game in the "Serpent Riders" trilogy. vkHexen is an experimental SDL2/Vulkan port of Hexen, built as a learning exercise for the Vulkan API on top of the author's earlier NakedHexen port. It's a bare-bones implementation with no shaders or acceleration; it currently compiles and launches but crashes immediately when initializing the Vulkan renderer, so it isn't playable yet.
