About
Wolfenstein 3D is a 1992 first-person shooter developed by id Software and published by Apogee Software and FormGen for MS-DOS, in which the player controls Allied spy William 'B.J.' Blazkowicz escaping the Nazi prison Castle Wolfenstein and fighting through a series of missions. Wolf3dX is an open-source reimplementation of Wolfenstein 3D built on the MonoGame framework, targeting Windows (via OpenTK) and Linux (via OpenGL 3.0/SDL2). It requires the original Wolfenstein 3D game files to run, though it can work with just the freely available shareware version.
Getting started
Players supply their own copy of Wolfenstein 3D's game data — the shareware version is sufficient — alongside the compiled MonoGame build.
