About
Lode Runner is a 1983 puzzle-platform game by Doug Smith, published by Broderbund, in which the player collects gold while evading enemies across levels, and which included one of the first level editors in a game. XLode is a small Lode Runner clone the author wrote in college, originally built for the Allegro library and later updated to use SDL with no other changes — the author notes it's still C code written the way they wrote it back in 2001, late-night comments included.
