About

Command & Conquer (Tiberian Dawn) is Westwood Studios' 1995 real-time strategy game that helped define the genre, pitting the peacekeeping GDI against the Brotherhood of Nod in a war over the substance Tiberium. This is Electronic Arts' own official open-source release of the original Tiberian Dawn engine and code, distributed on GitHub and paired with an official Steam re-release that bundles the base campaigns with The Covert Operations expansion's extra missions.

Getting started

Play through Steam (includes The Covert Operations expansion), or build the officially open-sourced engine from the GitHub repository for those wanting to inspect or modify the original code.

Known limitations

  • compatibility: Source code does not fully compile; core engine libraries are missing and must be obtained from Red Alert repository.
