About

Sokoban is a 1981 puzzle game by Hiroyuki Imabayashi in which the player pushes boxes onto storage locations in a warehouse from a top-down view, without being able to pull them. SokoWorld is a free and open-source Sokoban client built with the Usagi Engine, featuring 72 levels of varying difficulty with gamepad support and mappable controls. It's available for web, Linux, macOS, and Windows, and is currently in early access with more levels and polish planned.

How it differs from the original

20 of the 72 included levels are original designs by the developer, rather than reproductions of classic Sokoban puzzle packs.

Getting started

Play in the browser or download a build for Linux, macOS, or Windows from the game's itch.io page or GitHub releases. Controls can be remapped from the Settings menu, and gamepad input is supported.

History

SokoWorld was originally written in Rust before being rebuilt using the Usagi Engine.
