About
Sonic Adventure is a 1998 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Dreamcast, the first main Sonic game to feature 3D gameplay, following Sonic and five other playable characters as they try to stop Doctor Robotnik from unleashing the ancient evil Chaos. This is a work-in-progress decompilation of Sonic Adventure DX, the GameCube version of the game, building executables and disassembling library files for multiple regional and demo/prototype releases (NTSC-J, NTSC-U, and PAL, in both retail and demo form).
Getting started
Requires extracting the original Sonic Adventure DX game files (via the Dolphin emulator) into the project's directory structure before building. Install the listed dependencies — Python and ninja, plus Wine on macOS/Linux — then run the included configure step for your target version and build with ninja.
