About

Lemmings is a 1991 puzzle and strategy game developed by DMA Design and published by Psygnosis for the Amiga, later ported to many platforms; it was created by Russell Kay, Mike Dailly, and David Jones after an animation Dailly made while experimenting with Deluxe Paint. SuperLemmix is a Lemmings engine by William James, built on top of NeoLemmix (by Namida Verasche and Stephan Neupert), which itself builds on Eric Langedijk's Lemmix. The "new-master" branch gives access to most of the game's data files for easy modding and requires Delphi XE6 or later plus the Graphics32 and GR32PNG libraries to compile.

Getting started

Compiled versions are placed in the "bin" subfolder once built with Delphi XE6 or later; all external files needed to run the game live under "data/external", with some style files optional and only required for certain levels. On Linux, since no Lazarus-compiled version exists, the game can currently only be played via Wine.

Known limitations

  • compatibility: Only compiles on Delphi XE6 or later; no Lazarus version exists, so Linux play requires Wine.
