About

The Legend of Zelda is a video game series created by Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka, primarily developed and published by Nintendo. This is a work-in-progress disassembly of the original Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Building it currently requires a Unix-like environment (Cygwin or MSYS on Windows), GNU Make, the CC65 toolchain, and your own original NES ROM of the game; once the disassembly is complete, the ROM requirement is meant to go away.

Getting started

Building it requires the CC65 toolchain and GNU Make, plus your own original NES ROM of the game placed in the project directory before running the build.

Requires original assets. An original copy of The Legend of Zelda in iNES ROM format is required until the entire game is disassembled.
