About
Fallout 2 is a 1998 role-playing game developed by Black Isle Studios and published by Interplay, a sequel to Fallout set in a post-nuclear wasteland where the player takes on the role of the first game's protagonist's grandchild. Vault13 is a work-in-progress reimplementation of the Fallout 2 engine in Rust. It is explicitly not yet playable as a full game, but ships nightly development builds with a working demo mode that loads the original 'artemple' map.
Getting started
The demo is launched from the command line, pointing the program at an existing Fallout 2 installation to load the artemple map. Controls include mouse-driven walk/run movement and pick-mode toggling, arrow keys to scroll the map, and debug toggles for pause, roof drawing, and ambient light.
Known limitations
- development: This is a work in progress and is not playable.
