Command & Conquer: Red Alert is Westwood Studios' 1996 real-time strategy game set in an alternate-history World War II, pitting the Allies against the Soviet Union. This is Electronic Arts' official open-source release of the original Red Alert engine and code on GitHub, paired with an official Steam re-release bundling the base game with the Counterstrike and The Aftermath expansion packs (34 additional missions combined).

Getting started

Play through Steam (includes both expansion packs), or build the officially open-sourced engine from source via the GitHub repository.

Known limitations

• compatibility: Source code does not fully compile; restoration effort required.
