Ship of Harkinian
About
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a 1998 action-adventure game by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64, the first Zelda game with 3D graphics, released in Japan and North America in November 1998 and in PAL regions the following month. Ship of Harkinian is a PC and console port of Ocarina of Time built on the OOT decompilation project's source code and a custom compatibility library (libultraship) modeled on the original N64 libultra SDK. It runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and as Switch homebrew, using DirectX 11, OpenGL, or Metal rendering depending on the platform.
How it differs from the original
It adds features the original N64 game never had, including manual save states, a toggleable alternate-assets mode, and support for loading community-made custom asset packs (.otr files) through a mods folder.
Getting started
You need a legally dumped, supported copy of Ocarina of Time, verified against a compatibility checker or hash list; on first run the extracted ROM assets are converted into a .o2r file before the game starts. Default controls map N64 buttons to keyboard keys (e.g. X/C for A/B, WASD for the analog stick), with shortcuts for the menu (Esc), save states (F5-F7), and fullscreen (F11).
